The Attitude of Gratitude

Eph 5:20
Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;
1 Thessalonians 5:18
In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.
Philippians 4:6
Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

1. Gratitude is Based on Who God is
God is on the throne - He is a good God!
Psalm 23 - He walks beside us. He never forsake us.
He carries our burden, we are not alone.
Centers on Christ.
Gratitude leads to praise. Rejoice always!

2. Gratitude Affects How You View Yourself
Our strength is in Christ.
Our identity and self-worth are based upon Him. No failure.
Greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world. (1 John 4:4)
Finds healing for hurts.
Count your many blessings, angels will attend.

3. Gratitude Affects How You Relate to Others
People are precious to God.
Lifts up others.
Put down our rights to help others.
People love grateful people. Does not close doors and isolate people.
A thankful heart affirms people.
Gratitude brings unity, kindness, Fruit of Spirit.

4. Gratitude Changes Your World
